From: What Dream Interpetation Looks Like

Dream: 1/2015  I was wondering if you could tell us what this dream means. _____ dreamed he was watching the dream like a movie. He saw himself dressed in all black sitting on a boulder. It was all black around him except for the pebbles under his feet & the boulder he was sitting on & a ball of lint next to him(huh!)speaking to him in a female voice. Very calm & soothing it tells him “He wants to speak to you, keep your back to him so you dont look at him. He feels comfort flowing threw his body & knows it is Jesus who wants to talk to him. He woke up shaking. (He always is wearing black in his dreams)image

the Man In Black

In this dream the man on the rock is feeling the elements of what black represents (sorrow, mourning, heaviness, famine, lack, or sin) The man is sitting or waiting upon the rock. Jesus told Peter, Upon this ROCK I will build my church. Though he is feeling a bleak out look that looms around him, and though he mourns in lack, famine, sin or heavinesses, still He knows where to go to meet God, and rests there. The dream is revealing to him that the Lord will speak to him, as he waits and rests in that place of trust.

Mathew 16:16-18
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. “I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.…

He is resting on that one thing that cannot be overpowered.

The man in the dream is able to wait and rest his faith on the ROCK. However, when he stands, it is on pebbles compared to all the Father has available to Him. He knows where to go, how to wait, in his mourning, heaviness, sorrows, need, famine, loss, sin. (What black represents.) Still, the Lord wants to speak to him on how to stand, walk, and live. Jesus is meeting him there, though his outlook is not perfect and he is taking on ( or clothing himself in agreement) with less than what God has for him.

The lint (which I will explain later) is instructing him to listen because Jesus wants to talk to him, God cannot look on sin conscience or awareness, we need to believe in the full work of the cross, that all our short comings are truly washed by the blood. Still, in our place where we fall short he speaks to us, in our doubts, fears, and troubled hearts. Even when our back is turned away from his best for us, he desires to minister love and comfort. The Lord desires to show him HIS more perfect way in all matters concerning the man who knows he needs God. A broken and contrite heart, oh lord, thou will not despise.

The rest of Mathew 16 – upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

The Lord wants all of us to stand up in our authority in CHRIST and push back the circumstances that often over whelm us. We begin doing that by putting on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. This an act of our will, and choice. Simply, we can say that as a decree out loud. “I put on the garment of praise, I will dress my self in joy. Who’s report will I believe regarding my future? I will believe in the report of the Lord. Though there be Giants in the land of my promise, the son of David has slain them.”

Isaiah 52: Wake up, wake up, O Zion! Clothe yourself with strength. Put on your beautiful clothes, O holy city of Jerusalem, for unclean and godless people will enter your gates no longer.

The garment of praise (made to replace the spirit of mourning, sorrow, heaviness, sin awareness, famine …) is so powerful even the lint …. (the dust remnants of that garment) is able to speak to us encouragement and instruction. Even the fabric remains of the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness has a voice bringing hope in our sorrows. How much more shall they speak to us to hear from the Lord when we are wearing praise as a garment. Dressing ourselves in them (by faith) everyday. This is, also, in itself a word to return to the joy of the man in black’s salvation.

Isaiah 6:3 …Putting on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
