Job 33:15-18 (The Message)

“In a dream, for instance, a vision at night, when men and women are deep in sleep, fast asleep in their beds—God opens their ears and impresses them with warnings.To turn them back from something bad they’re planning, from some reckless choice, And keep them from an early grave, from the river of no return.

The body of Christ should be tooled up in training and preparation for the generation we are living in now. A generation that is far more awakened to the supernatural world, than God’s supernatural priest hood! We see, how in scripture God gave dreams, visions, and signs to heathen kings, and noblemen. And he raised up Daniel, and Joseph, and the prophets to understand those dreams, visions and signs. Even in the New Testament God spoke to men and women who were lost, preparing them to receive His word. Herodias was warned in a dream about John. Peter, given a vision about Cornelius, while Cornelius was being prepared by an angelic visitation, to receive word from Peter. In these last days a flood gate of supernatural activity will be poured out upon people in there day to day lives, and we, in the body of Christ better have discernment. We should be prepared to be able to interpret the dreams and visions of the unsaved, or they will go to psychics and mediums for the answer.  If you are a minister and you are not ready to respond to these kind of encounters, then you are not equipped to handle what is coming.

This pouring spoken of in Joel 2:30-31 is a deluge of spiritual activity unprecedented in the history of the Church as we go deeper into the last days!  Counteractivley, lying signs and wonders will summon  for the world’s attention, and false prophets will seek to up stage the true; men and women of God will demonstrate HIS power, and His rod of authority will eat and devour the rod of the false prophets, as it did when Moses faced off, with Pharaohs magicians! Will we rise to the occasion and join this rank of peculiar people who will set forth the praises of our God? Unfortunately, many Christians are so amazed that they are having dreams and visions, they are missing the point as to why. What is in the message? What are the instructions? Bring forth the revelation and walk it out. Write the vision down, and make it plain so that the messenger may run with it!  Habakkuk 2:2.

You see, when we believe we have heard, then we will take it up to the next level and walk out the purpose FOR WHAT it was that we heard. Not go around broadcasting.” I had a dream, I had dream, I had a dream, I knew that was going to happen and it did!” The word of God says that ” I will confirm my word with signs and wonders following.” So you saw that there was going to be an earthquake, what was the message what was the word?” Let’s mature from this place and move on from these ” God encounters” and into the purposes for them, and that is to substantiate the message behind them.

Below I will give an example of a dream and its prophetic purpose. A dream from the Lord will fall into one or more of these categories:

1. Wake you up.

2. Stick with you all day, in vivid memory.

3. Often recur. Same theme different settings.

4. Will have symbolism in it that you recognize.

5. Have Jesus speaking to you in it, or an Angel.

6. Give you a sense that you were given a message.

7. Will make you feel as if you were awake the whole time.

Any one of the above dream types should always be written down, before you forget them. Night mares are normally an attack, and should be counter acted with the Word of God declaring the promises of God, and blessing over you and your family.

Remember, an anxious mind will create lots of restless dreams. This is not of God for He has said, that He gives His beloved rest.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
