Battered At Sea

You’ve been at times like a ship out to sea, battered by the wind and waves of an overwhelming storm. But I want you to know that in it, I was with you. I placed my hand upon your hand to steady your course and keep the way. Though you have at times faltered and attempted to reach for what you thought was more important, doubting your worthiness for my help and assistance, yet I guided you through—even though you may not always have felt me near. Know now that I was with you; I left you not. Understand that I have seen you out, and the storm is now behind you. This ship called your life now rests on peaceful shores. See the treasures of the deep that have washed up from the storm, now surrounding it—all for the reaching. A plethora of treasure washed up on shore along with you—pearls of great price that come only from a dredging of the deep because you endured the storm, endeavoring to trust in me. Know now that this is a time of restoration. The waves and wind have stilled, and the ship is in recovery. Set your hand now, and let’s restore this vessel together upon these peaceful shores. It will once again sail in the open sea. Keep your rest in me.”
