That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that fills all in all. Ephesians 1:17-22

If an administration in the United States proclaims Jesus Christ is Lord, and endeavors to form policy that reflect our values, what is it about church people that are so skeptical over a public figure professing Christ, or at least showing support in their cause? Why are we so fearful? If they are not genuine, God himself will take care of that. The scripture says they will know us by our love. I think we are far from the love of God, in-fact in pridefulness and fear we are critical, skeptical, and standoffish, with those from within and those outside of our four walls, in a time we should be in faith and walking in love.

  • There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfected in love. 1 Cor 4:18
  • You will know them by their fruits. Math 7:16
  • Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Cor 13:4-7

Church people are so worried about being hoodwinked, they’re holding back the love and support of a president, presidential cabinet, and the godly legislatures we have fighting for us, because they are afraid in the end they’ll be duped and called a fool. Well, in the end that may happen, but we don’t know that. We don’t want to be the reason a government meaning to protect Christianity, begins to turn away from it. There’s nothing worse than being treated badly by people you have good intentions towards. They are running policies in a kingdom that has rarely been for us, under the rule of darkness. What we need to do is stand up for righteousness when righteousness is making a stand in the White House. Of course, no one is going to be doing it perfectly and imperfect people (who are greatly gifted) have been called upon to work in this administration that has proclaimed Christ as Lord. We need to embrace it for what it is now and pray that the Lord will bless us with godly decisions that will keep America from being overrun, overpowered, and undone, by evil. We know in Isaiah 60:1-3 It says:

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the people,
but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.
And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Now I believe this is a prophetic word to the church as well as for Israel at the end of the age.  But right now, Jesus Christ is risen, and he sits at the right-hand side of the Father, and should be residing upon the throne of our hearts. Prophetically speaking we are the city where the LAMB IS THE LIGHT! He was, He is, and He is to come, and that does not replace His physical reign on this earth but is a glimpse of what is to come. Right now, we are His hands and feet. We are his body. He is the Head of the church who is the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and we are living in this world as salt and light. He is seated far above all principalities and powers, Christ in us the hope and glory, so where does that put us? We can’t help but rise and shine when we have the Holy Spirit residing with us and in us, as we are lamps that carry his light! ! In the darkest of times, the risen savior shines brightly through those that belong to him, through his church, through his Ecclesia! The Lampstand among nations. The called-out ones. See, the scripture says gentiles, meaning those that are not of the house of God will come to the brightness of her dawn which happens in the darkest of nights. In that passage, it says that kings will come as well so we are in a time where Christ through His church will manifest his glorious presence in the earth, with great contrast against the darkness. A preview of the coming age, and even now, we who believe in Him will not know the sting of death.

John 11:25-26I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Yeshuah has the keys of death, hell, and the grave. No one else has that power, we are His when He is in us. Death has no power against Him.

So, we must pray for all men that are in authority. The scripture says that’s our duty. I don’t see anywhere in the word of God that we’re supposed to become an enemy of the state ever.

By example, we look at Joseph, Daniel, we look at David, how they interacted with rulers, kings, and authorities, in their time. They understood the power of God and the placement of kings; they understood that God appointed them to be in the position they are in. He ordained them to be where they are. They knew that the heart of Kings is like channels of water where God can take it and turn it every which way he desires. He hardened Pharaoh of Moses’s Day to do his bidding. He used Nebuchadnezzar he used the Persian King Xerxes. He used Cyrus to fulfill his promises. Yah is the God of kings! It is not our job nor is it our duty to launch an inquisition or religious inquiry against every public or government figure that professes Christ.

Why do we immediately start looking for reasons to sling mud and question their faith or motives? We love, support, and pray for them, and if we must we show them the way more perfectly, helping them fully understand the gospel. Live in the moment of the blessing, embrace whom God uses to make wrong things right. Let’s not treat people with contempt who rule among us. Be like Paul, who spoke and acted with respect when he was brought before rulers desiring for them to hear the gospel and receive Christ by the words he had for them. Saying I would that you be as I, except in these chains, speaking to Festus in Acts 26:29 Let us live in the moment with all our prayer and support for righteousness’ sake. Thank God for those that He’s using now and will use tomorrow. Many of these people are on the front lines and some have been persecuted over their biblical values, far more than the average Christian in this country has. Nothing anyone can do in this world as a ruler has the power to hinder Christ, and his day. But, in fact, be it by vessels of glory, or by vessels ordained for destruction, we are not moving towards defeat. The Church is moving towards the return of the King of kings and Lord of Lords!

So, whether we have a pharaoh that is in charge like the one who embraced and elevated Joseph, or we have one sending his army to push us into the red sea as did  Pharaoh in Moses time. We win, we always have, and we always will. Because God is in control.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so God surrounds HIS people, as Mount Zion is in the midst of Jerusalem, so God is in the midst of HIS people. Ps 125:1-3

Let us then be secure knowing that our love and support to others will not weaken us when secular rulers are endeavoring to bring justice and do right, even if it lasts only a season. All is well in the Kingdom of God. All is well in the abiding place. Psalm 91

1 Timothy 2:1–4

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and THANKSGIVING be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Romans 13:1

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Proverbs 21:1

The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.

Colossians 1:16–17

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
