While we are all lively stones set in the Church reflecting God’s glory, as one house, we remain individuals as unique and diverse as every stone is in the earth. Though, the light of the sun shines through various stones
casting every color of the spectrum- still, the sun light that shines through diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds, is always the same! Jesus Christ is the Light of The World! In HIM there is no variance or shadow of turning, in other words front or back He is the same and HIS promises change not! We as lively stones reflect God’s glory differently, but the source remains the same! This goes for prophetic interpretation as well. His WORD poured out through diverse vessels HE has made, will have the same theme but will reflect the formation and hue of the lively stone we are in God’s house.
1Pet 2:5 You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Three different prophets will give you the same word, wrapped in a package according to their unique cluster of prophetic giftings! In fact, their office will dictate how that interpretation is given from their vantage point, in the Kingdom of God. That is why I always say that dreams are multi-faceted. An Apostle would most likely interpret a dream from the standpoint of Government, a prophet from a standpoint of rooting out issues, and breaking down strongholds for new paradigms, that will accommodate reformation in ones mind, city, or nation. A teacher with the gift of prophecy would instruct in their interpretation of a dream, using that opportunity as an object lesson for deeper truths. So would the Apostle do this with people groups he is called to, sharing revelation he received on that level. While an evangelist with the gift of prophecy would somehow turn it into an alter call.
This is where the spirit of wisdom comes into play. Although, an interpreter’s gift or office may pull upon the dream interpretation, the dreamer and their personal needs, need to be kept in mind. The dream’s basic level of interpretation should be acknowledged and then built on from there. Starting with the individual, after all they were the vessel God appointed to have the vision, prophetic encounter, visitation, or dream. This is a principal sanctioned by Jesus, where the bread of his word from one loaf is parted out from the believer, and then shared with the world.
Acts1:8 ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. From personal application and then to the world. After all, should we not personally apply the word of God before we take it to the nations?
An un-interpreted dream is the same as an unknown tongue. Both have hidden prophetic understanding and should be handled the same in our meetings and gatherings.
The unwrapped wisdom of “God given dreams” is that they have the capacity of speaking volumes on every level. That is why scripture tells us to share tongues or any other enigmatic experience by two or three, and then let it be interpreted. Let the prophets stand and judge, yielding to others, if further revelation is given. A company of prophets will establish the word and guide its facets of interpretation properly, for the who, what, and where of the group. While the shepherds watch for the careful treatment of the flock, and the prophetic word’s practical application in their flock’s midst, as a people. Often leaders will council among themselves on various ways to integrate prophetic ministry and revelation released to them through the various offices that manifested the message. The impact of that word will be backed up by the anointing behind it.
That is why I always tell dreamers who share their dreams, to let elderships that know them help them discern the interpretation that they get. For out of the mouth of two or more witnesses, let every word be established. This is the body of Christ operating in unity and bearing one another’s burdens. This is how we grow, and distribute with care the revealed Word of the Lord.
1Corinthians 14:26-32
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you have a psalm, have a doctrine, have a tongue, have a revelation, have an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three and let the other judge. If anything be revealed to another that sits by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
