The TALL SHIP BOUNTY is in the news today as an investigation wraps up that examined why she sank off of the banks of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, during hurricane Sandy. A “generator” failed that was pumping water from the vessel. Of course that was not the reason Bounty sank. It was a storm unpredictable, and a series of  decisions made before and after the failed generators. Much like America is facing today. We are running on economic GENERATORS, and paper money to keep this vessel a float. Will they prevail the storms, or will they fail in the midst of them?  Read on.

The details embedded in this story have interesting connections and coincidences that make you wonder, “Is the Sinking of the Tall Ship Bounty a harbinger of things to come?”

har·bin·ger : Noun.  A person or thing that announces or signals the approach of another. A forerunner of something. Synonyms herald – forerunner – precursor – messenger – portent.

Ezekiel 27:25

The ships of Tarshish (seafaring vessels) were your ocean caravans. Your island warehouse was filled to the brim! “But look! Your oarsmen are rowing your ship of state into a hurricane! Your mighty vessel flounders in the heavy eastern gale. You are shipwrecked in the heart of the sea! Everything is lost — your riches and wares, your sailors and helmsmen, your ship builders, merchants, and warriors. On that day of vast ruin, everyone on board sinks into the depths of the sea. “Your cities by the sea tremble as your helmsmen cry out in terror. All the oarsmen abandon their ships; the sailors and helmsmen come to stand on the shore.

From today’s story-
“…  Around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, about 300 miles east of Virginia Beach, Virginia, the captain made his move: Instead of continuing with his original plan to stay east of the storm, he ordered the crew to change course. He wanted to pilot the ship northwest of Sandy to harness its winds. Turning more westerly, the boat crossed the path of the oncoming hurricane.” [1]

The Floridian Mandate

The Floridian Mandate

The Lord says, “Send my word, it will not return void what  comes from me. It will accomplish what I send it to accomplish. Send my life and light. Speak my word over Florida, from you shall come a tropical breeze and it will blow across the nation. Florida, you are what I made you, an instrument that breaks the waves and the turbulent winds and divides them across the land, where the sea winds are tamed down and distributed as gentle, tropical, breezes blowing across all that is North and West of you. Shifting winds, a slight wind, shall carry the essence of Florida across the nation. A warm, tropical, breeze in the midst of winter in this political season. A taste of spring in the air. I hear a wind instrument, a reed, a lonely flute from the Everglades, the breeze shall carry the sovereign’s song and shall move the solemn assembly to pray for an undivided kingdom, from the place where the foreign born, and native born, became one people escaping the chains of slavery. Hollywood, Florida you have my commandment, set a trend for life and light speak my word. Let the “Keys” unlock the heart of this nation, now go and this word shall not return void, for it comes from my mouth, says the Lord. Look now you towards the SON RISE and see that state where I called for the first glimpse of my light to shine in a new day. Look not to man, look to my word and release it from my lips, for I have given you (my people who are called by my name) authority to speak my word, and power to tread down darkness in the land. Release my word, and you will raise my golden arm ablaze with glory, to stay the darkness, and gather a nation under my wing. Know you not that I will grant life to those who are with you, because they are with you? The affairs of men have power, their committees, their policies, alliances, and mandates. Yet, greater is He that is in you then He that is in the world. Your mandates, agreements, proclamations, and decrees, in me, says the Lord shall have influence, but they must be made, they must be executed in the earth before they can make an impact, before they can turn the tide. I say speak now to this nation, and call the ground to yield, the wind to blow, the rain to give. The seas to rest, the seasons to be, the earth to shake the dead tree down. The clouds to part, the fires to burn, and to desist there burnings. Speak peace to the storms, and life to the dead … As Paul’s captors had control of the helm of a doomed ship, nevertheless, he impacted the out come and the souls on that ship, through his prayers and counsel. How much more so, will my people influence the outcome of this nation while they are yet free to guide the helm? Do so while you are able, while you can, or you will list shipwrecked where two streams collide, devoid of your freedoms, at the mercy of your captors, whose ambitions will take you where you wish not to go. Wisdom is known by her Children.”

Acts 27:21-23… Paul came forward into their midst and said, Men, you should have listened to me, and should not have put to sea from Crete and brought on this disaster and harm and misery and loss. But [even] now I beg you to be in good spirits and take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you but only of the ship. For this [very] night there stood by my side an angel of the God to Whom I belong and Whom I serve and worship, and he said do not be frightened Paul … God has given you all those who are sailing with you …

Psalm 46 (New International Version)
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields[d] with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The LORD Almighty is with us, the God of Jacob is our fortress.
