Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

In this article I’m going to talk about prophetic dreams and visions we sometimes have of dignitaries and world events. What they mean and what we need to do with them. Starting off with some of my own experiences over the years and referring to them as examples. I believe that when you finish this article you will have more understanding to walk in your prophetic gift, in the area of dreams and visions, on a national and international scale. Even if you’ve never had a dream about President Trump, or another head of nations, the information is transferable, to other people of governing authority in your life.  

God often uses our prophetic experiences to reach the lost, and change the course of lives. We can be His instruments in doing that by understanding the biblical gift of prophecy, developing skill by use, and the experiences others have had. It takes a company of prophets to raise well rounded prophets. Because iron sharpens iron, we need a prophetic presbytery among us for guidance, to help sort through the supernatural manifestations that come with believing in a supernatural God, who empowers our natural lives. A prophetic presbytery simply means a body of elders tried and tested in  their walk with God, and can council on various modes of operation and application of the five anointings mention in Ephesians 4:11, to raise another generation up to fill the shoes that have come before them. He that regards a prophet in the name of a prophet receives the prophet’s reward. The same is true when encountering this age of prophetic out pouring upon the people of God. What efforts we take to receive of that treasure determines our development. Incredible as it seems, too many churches still don’t understand how to regard the giftings and anointings that God has set in His Church, in order for them to receive blessing in their lives. For as softly as the dove lands, so He lifts. We have rejected Christ’s ministry often, not recognizing the Lord’s visitations and answered prayer, when He as come manifesting through the various giftings and ministries he has set in the church. Because there are still many among the greater population of believers that lack teaching on how to properly respond to the gifts, and anointings, God has ordained in the church. There to equip them.  A close study of Ephesians 4, gives us the blue print of what a real lamp stand host should look like.  

Eph 4:11-16 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

                   Many believers are not prophet ready. Assemblies that don’t have them, yet call themselves a bonafide lampstand assembly, can easily be upset and even turned upside down, being visited by any one of those anointings, of the above mentioned five of Ephesians 4:11. That God has ordained to operate in the Church, on purpose; to bring growth, maturity, and edification. Simply, a revival is often just God setting His house in order with an apostolic wave in an anointed visitation. To set, and establish His order, where the anointings that he has raised up in service to the saints are activated and are “set” properly where they belong. We need this particular order among his people these days now, more so than ever before. The first century church was built upon the power of God that had nothing to do with the ability of man. So why do we still need this same grace and ability of God from heaven? Because we are in the last of the last days, the latest of the latter rains, for the end time harvest. Joel chapter 2! An amazing time to be alive! God is still pouring out His spirit on our sons and daughters, as not only old men are having dreams, and young men are having visions, but every age and gender in between. 

If you follow this blog, you know that I call it a dream journal website. Most of the articles are derived from prophetic dreams and visions. When I began to pen these encounters the Lord said, “Teach others as you go.” So I try to reveal the prophetic process along with the actual dream and “word of the Lord”  hidden in the mystery that dreams and visions often are. 

Jeremiah 23:28

   The prophet that has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? said the LORD.”

A dream that comes from the Lord is a carrier of a mystery, like the wheat stock is a carrier to a kernel of grain. It needs the entire mechanism of the wheat stalk to produce the grain inside of it; however, wheat needs a process to thresh it out and that is a learned skill. A dream with out a message is like straw in the wind. Any one can have a dream, but not everyone can unlock its mystery. It takes a spirit of wisdom and understanding to interpret dreams. While symbolism may be recognized to piece a dream’s meaning together- only the creator God can disclose its full intent and application, and He does that by the gifts of the Spirit, through His spirit filled believers. Pharaoh had a dream in the book of Genesis, but it took God’s servant, Joseph, to not only  unlock its meaning but to provide the wisdom needed to walk out the word of warning it entailed. Joseph no doubt had an excellent spirit about him, as Daniel did. Now, among some prophetic circles a warning dream is declared as not from God, because it’s not pleasant. Their argument is that it doesn’t edify. The prophet Agabus in the New Testament, has even been called a ”mistaken” prophet who prophesied famine and the Apostle Paul’s bonds in Rome. But this isn’t supported by scripture because the Apostles and elders of the church responded to the warnings of the  prophet Agabus. Whom tradition says was probably one among the 70 that was sent out by Jesus. This recognized prophet prophesied a troubling prophecy on both occasions, so it sort of ruins the narrative that all prophecy should be  charming. But that’s the point, we are not called to CHARM any one. The testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Prophecy. In some of these more extreme camps of the prophetic, God’s warning system has been neutralized. We just have to look at the seven Churches in Asia, that Jesus told John to write to, in prophetic warning, to know that a prophecy, a message from God, has the power to shake you. The Testimony of Jesus Christ has caused many to be shaken, as it has caused many to rejoice. Some even teach that warning dreams are not from God, and while it is possible that a dream may have not been handled properly, inducing fear not hope, hopelessness, and not fervent prayer, we cannot disregard the purpose for them. In scripture the famine prophecy was taken to heart and the Saints made preparations for the famine. This is why we need a prophetic presbytery among the assembly of saints to process  revelations and mysteries of God that pertain to the greater body of believers; because, there is safety among many counselors. Lack of this kind of safety net is the reason why many who have had powerful dreams of international importance, never see the light of day. Mostly because they don’t take the dream before the Lord for understanding. It’s just an interesting dream to them, and they leave it at that.  For one, the kernel is not being processed out of the chaff, so its lost in the mystery that it is, and sharing it with out its interpretation, with out its prophetic run through, by a company of prophetic believers, sometimes is more harmful than good. When leaving it in its unprocessed form. Because some dreams that involve people we know may convey a message unintended. However, if it is processed through- than the word of the Lord is threshed out of it, having substance and continuity. In that form it is useful. At that point what needs to be done with it, (publicly or privately) is better Discerned.  I have a couple hundred articles on this website. I may have a half baked idea or two. But it has always been my intent to make sure that prophetic dreams were not shared, until they had their time at the threshing floor of prophetic process. 

1 Corinthians 14:29-30  Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent.

Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellers there is safety.

Proverbs 20:18

Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war…

We can do nothing of ourselves it takes the gifts of the Spirit including wisdom to know how to separate the chaff from the wheat, and pull out the oracles of God, for the sole purpose to extend life not prophesy its demise. To build a wall of protection not tear them down. As Joseph was in charge of building grain silos to prepare for famine, so God’s people should have the ability to be the answer in days of distress for the nations as long as we are here. There are many occasions in the Bible where the Lord uses dreams, visions, and prophecy, to save lives not condemn them.  Even in Job it is written that he terrifies us with dreams to keep us from the pit! The word of the Lord is needed in these times, to be more than just an encouraging word. His word needs released by his servants, his hand maidens, the Saints of the Living God to plant the heavens and to seed the earth with His word!

A Word About Sensory Over Load. Keeping the slate of your mind set apart. 

As dreamers, seers, and prophets, it’s important that we keep pure that place where holy imagery is displayed in the spirit of the mind. In other words, too much exposure to fantasy, books, movies, games, or media imagery that is fantastic by nature, can create a life of its own in this world of sensational visual access. This is why, we ourselves, need to fast, like Jesus did, and go away into a quiet place to really hear and see clearly from God. I’m hesitant with prophetic encounters that come from people that seemed supercharged on mass media over load. That are avid gamers and fantasy story buffs. In the same way we should be mindful that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, that gifts of the spirit operate through this temple; so we should set ourselves wholly apart from too much of anything when it comes to our mind, as well as our body. When I know there is a chance that I might be ministering through the word or by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, I fast prior meals and refrain from sugar or coffee, that may cause my mind to race or my body to crash on a sugar high during a time when I’m really trying to settle in God’s presence and hear his voice. 

This is why I believe that fasting and prayer together, positions us to hear from HIM more clearly, with greater prophetic accuracy. For decades I’ve assembled with the saints on this principle of pre-meeting fasting. On the rare occasion that I’ve had coffee or a meal, I’ve always regretted it. You don’t know the difference until you’ve made it a practice for yourself, for enough time to know the difference. This is just a suggestion, and of course we’re called to peace and liberty. I don’t see where Jesus commanded the disciples to fast, but He did say to them: “These kind don’t come out, but by fasting and by prayer.” So to me it’s like this, extraordinary encounters often follow after extraordinary preparation and readiness.  

Notice  how all new beginnings start with a work that roots out old systems in order to install new ones? All new beginnings must start out by rooting up and tearing down, before we can begin to plant and build. Why would we have to do that? It’s required in order to establish any new work. Old religious root systems  are a hindrance to kingdom life! This Kind of activity that pulls things out of us in order to establish renewal is in preparation to make way for the work of Lord, in the spirit of Elijah for His second coming, as the spirit of Elijah rested upon John in Jesus’s first coming. People say, “But this is a time of great persecution!” As if that is going to slow the process down. When did persecution or even martyrdom ever stop the kingdom of God from being established? In fact according to my bible it actually accelerates  its advancement.

Jeremiah 1:9-11  the LORD reached out His hand, touched my mouth, and said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you today over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and plant.”

Isaiah 51:16 And I have put my words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, You are my people.

–Is not my word as a fire? said the LORD; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Jeremiah 23:28

Is that hammer and fire retired now? Jesus’s words in the book of Revelation still are relevant to day. He’s coming back to destroy those waging war against Him with the WORDS of His mouth!

What does it mean to dream about pharaohs and kings, presidents, or dignitaries?

These kind of dreams can have a personal application that is more about the dreamer and their life, that carries a message to the dreamer for themselves, or it can have a broader application, that has a national or worldwide significance.  When we are interacting with dignitaries in our dreams, often the location of that interaction reveals the scope of its relevancy to us and others. So when we dream, if our encounters with them are in our home, our car, our town, or in our schools; than that usually sets the parameter or range of the dream’s  application. Where that governmental authority or position may have impact in the life of the dreamer.  It’s not uncommon for those diligent to pray for the nations to have heads of state appear to them in dreams, often revealing their prayer needs. When this happens we usually dream of them talking to us in their  environment, or in places their policies will impact. Their prayer needs are with in the scope of what they discuss, show you, or things that are seen in the dream. For example I remember one dream I interpreted where a dignitary was pointing to his heart. Of course that would be the Holy Spirit prompting prayer for that individual and the condition of their heart. How do we know a dream has international significance? Often we can tell the impact of the dream by the surroundings. These type of dreams often put the dreamer on location. In a senate chamber, at the White House,  in Washington DC., at the House of Commons; in the palaces of Kings, or on battle grounds, mostly visiting them in their environment. Or, upon a world or historical stage. Many have seen president Trump in stadiums, and on athletic fields. I would say these dreams speak to the great contest he has been in, against unrelenting contestants.  We may meet or witness kings, queens, emperors, tyrants, and prime ministers; over cities, lands, mountains, and seas;  that we may prophecy regarding them over peoples, nations, and tongues, the decrees of God, and declare to them the burden of the Lord. 

For one example I saw Putin and the Russian army in a tornado heading toward Syria before they engaged in the conflict there. I talk about tornados and their meanings in another article called: What Tornados mean in dreams. This was definitely one of international importance, and it was while we were engaged in prayer for the middle east. At the same time I saw the Russian church released upon the world stage having great impact beyond Russia, but more importantly among the Russian people.

Understanding the purpose of disclosure and its scope of relevancy is the key to understanding our role and influence as the church, when it comes to national and international events.  Acts 21:12 regarding the Agabus prophecy of famine, is a blue print of how we should react as a church to these revealed events. Beginning with a council of leaders, to examine natural responses to the church in those places where God reveals events to come, whether they are revivals, wars, famines, or natural disasters. This is where the church has often failed, it’s not enough to just know by the Spirit, what others couldn’t possibly know. It’s to seek the mind of Christ to know what to do about it. Pray, fast, gather, give, or go?

Mandates and Assignments announced in dreams.

For example on election night in 2008, I dreamed that I was in the White House answering the front door.  When I opened the door the presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama, his wife Michele, and their two daughters, were standing at the entrance door. This is how I learned that he had won the 2008 election, even though we went to bed early the night before, believing that John McCain would probably become number 44.  The Lord spoke to me in that dream saying,  ”The people’s house will accommodate them here, you will intercede for him.” There after I was given specific detail regarding prayer responsibilities for Obama and his administration. The first time I ever visited Washington DC., was during the Obama administration, on a prophetic prayer tour. We had many encounters during that time, that had prophetic significance. This dream was a sign for me to know that I was being commissioned by God for the task. The only person I had time to tell who was voted in as president, was my husband. I went down stairs before he had turned the radio on and told him Senator Obama, was voted in as our president. Even though early in the night McCain was projected to win in South Carolina, and that’s what we went to sleep on. In that dream my position was a servant at the door. The point of the dream was to reveal a prayer mandate that would last 8 years. The sign that accompanied that was the revelation that he had won the election through a dream. Only to be renewed again by another dream two weeks before Obama’s second election, that announced a second term, four years later. 

 I will confirm my word with signs and wonders following. Mark 16:20, Hebrews 2:4.

The first dream was given to me to know I was under a new prayer mandate, that  took me out of my world as I knew it, and into a new commissioning. I began to have more dreams and visions of international events. Seeing the President and his family in the White House was a sign. A few days after that another dream brought me to the newly elected president’s inaugeration, where prayer mandates began to reveal themselves. There I saw the Clintons on Obama’s inaugural platform, joining him in his duties, and with them I saw baggage. This was before he announced Hillary would become the Secretary of State.  Behind the scenes the dream revealed many lining up in the entertainment world to receive favors.  I also saw an unruly perverse spirit manifesting through a child, that tragically appeared to be sexualized at an early age. This display was very unsettling to me, in the dream, and thank God only the  PG version of what we now know exists, was being referenced. Still, for a long time I couldn’t believe that- that  part of the dream was really telling me what it seemed to be saying. Until pedo-gate was exposed. With out question, this abomination of an association with child sexual abuse,  was firmly attached to the Clintons, as they seemed to have introduced it to the platform they all now stood on. Regardless of what people think of Michele or even believe about her. In the dream she privately expressed disdain for the Clintons and what they brought with them. I saw activity in the back stage depicting what would come the days after, when Obama began handing out freedom metals. What was exposed in this dream would have national ramifications, of which we are only beginning to understand now. On October 17th, 2012, in another dream, President Obama took me up to a mountain peak on the presidential helicopter, and we landed on a mountain peak. He showed me the bald eagle. As I watched him pointing to the eagle it landed beside him on a tree snag standing 6 feet tall next to the president. The American symbol of the bald eagle then molted into the image and form of the president, until there was only one of them standing there. He then wanted to take me to a second mountain top that I could see from the first. But this mountain top was in the middle east. I didn’t want to go there. He got on the helicopter and I watched him fly to a high place and land on a peak east of Medina. I saw the whole map of the middle east like a decopage with events that was on display, that would later become history. One of which was Syria bleeding beyond borders like watercolors in fiery red and orange. I saw Obama in his second term become a lame duck president to the Saudis. I understood at the time the bald eagle, transforming into Obama, was the American nation fully transformed into the Obama Nation now,  in our foreign policy, and would be firmly landing there in a second term. Naturally,  when I woke up I knew then that Mitt Romney would lose the election, whom I encountered a year before, as he registered for the New Hampshire primaries, with Governor Sununu’s endorsement. Those 8 years after that first dream were extraordinary for me afterward. Because of the commissioning to pray for this president, it felt that my normal life as I knew it was on hold. Prayer, ministry, dreams, intercession, even traveling, brought me into spiritual encounters that were of national value. One of these events of national significance, occurred right after I had just told my tour companion that I was out of public ministry after years of being in it. Living a life of prayer and writing. No sooner do I peep out those words, do I find my self on the streets of Albany New York preaching in front of the state house with a news camera in my face, during an “Occupy Wall Street” rally, and then in New Hampshire standing right next to Mitt Romney, and Governor Sununu, as that photo op goes all over the world on CNN. I literally let the Governor stand in my place so I wouldn’t be sandwiched between them, as news people moved in. I had people looking at me trying to figure out who I was. How I got in that room with statesman, family, and friends of this candidate who was registering for the highest political position in the world, with what they called Sununu’s “Holy Grail endorsement”

Seers In Their Seasons Of Suddenlies. 

That event started in the early morning hours on the same day, when the spirit of the Lord walked me down that same hall we congregated in, in a dream. I would call it more like a sleeping vision. The Lord told me to wear a dress and nice shoes, to do my hair and make up for that day because we were dressing comfortable, like tourists, during most of our travels. Again that dream took me out of my environment and put me right in the place I would be, just hours later having this encounter. I decreed protection over him, and prayers for his family, as I was placed immediately behind the Governor for several minutes, as we walked down the crowded corridor, with Romney in front and his son Tagg behind me.  While secretaries and statesman filed out of their offices to greet him, and sheriff’s deputies flanked him on each side, we pushed on to the office where Mitt Romney signed the papers. While others were left at the door I was ushered in to the room. Later, I asked the Lord what all this meant and He said that I represented (in proxy) a commissioning to the Church. Saying, ”I want all my prophets this close to these positions in the land.”  The dream that Obama would go a second term was in a time where many were prophesying Obama would not be elected a again. Early in Obama’s administration I had an unusual encounter while in prayer that I won’t talk about here, but it is written in an article called The Trump Paradigm. 

After my dream of Obama’s second term, I remember reflecting back on how much I actually liked Mitt and Tagg Romney, yet in the middle of that reflection I had a mini vision of the two of them. Their countenance shifted and they both looked like those cartoon characters called angry birds walking out a door, and looking back on a scene behind me. I’m not kidding you. I was taken back, and wondered what that meant. Four years later Romney resurfaced, and I couldn’t get that vision out of my mind. Something got a hold of him. He never seemed the same to me, that I thought I had originally discerned.  I remember though an assumption I had, and I’m glad I didn’t act on it. The encounter I had regarding him was powerful in prophetic detail. I quietly carried an assumption that whole year that he would be elected into office. The only reason I didn’t say a word is because God never confirmed it to me. I wrote about the entire tour, and that encounter but never had the unction of the Holy Spirit to speak it out loud that I thought he would be elected.  That’s what we have got to be careful not to do, allow are assumptions to over ride the unction of the Holy Ghost. Its an easy line to cross sometimes. Too easy if you ask me. That is why we need to fervently pray for one another. Not be so quick to judge. Or run and call someone a false prophet that has never taught heresy, or neglected to display good fruit in their lives. There is plenty to learn in family discussions and we need to have more of them. Many who operate in profound giftings suffer in profound warfare. Many  Christians are not taught the fundamentals in receiving Holy Spirit ministry.

Both these prophetic dreams took me out of my world to see national and international events to come. While we can have visions of international importance from where ever we stand. We are still seeing and interacting beyond where we are at. In the seer anointing.  In that case the dream or vision clearly goes beyond are world, taking the significance of the dream and its interpretation outside of personal application.

Where our dreams are staged often give us a clue to their scope of relevance to the dreamer. Especially when it includes a known event or time line to come. The following is an example of an event that became an historical reality, but was a personalized warning for my husband and I regarding financial burdens that could be induced by taxation. In 2010 I had a vision of south American children pouring into my yard out of the woods. I saw a woman from the same place hold up her children and call to us to care for them. In the same dream I saw an elder Afganistanian man and woman sitting on our floor in our kitchen eating out of our refrigerator. These were all depicting national, and foreign policies, that could directly impact my husband and I as tax paying American citizens. You see how the world events came to us, symbolizing there effect in our lives.  The dream both revealed what would become historical realities of American life, and its personal impact to the dreamer. Not to mention the plight of those depicted in the dream. Why do we have these dreams? God doesn’t give us prophetic dreams of international importance to flex our prophetic muscle and prowess. Nor does He do it to fast track our ministries into world recognition. In fact the most profoundly accurate prophets that I’ve encountered are not even well known. One that I know I don’t think has ever even stood behind a pulpit, nor have they traveled more than a day’s distance from their own home. Nevertheless, some people whose names you might know, know them simply as God’s intercessor. There are men and women, even boys and girls through out the nations of the earth, living in obedience to the father in the face of death everyday, having profound encounters, angelic visitations, as servants, as apostles, and prophets; or simply known as pastors. Working so very hard with very little, yet performing great demonstrations of the power of God, that we will never see in our abundance. Things they see everyday,  because of their great need. These quietly walking in authority over realms and regions untold. The only alliance in the world that they are a part of is with God and the angels of heaven that serve his or her prayers.

For us to NOT pray and stand in the gap for all that God shows us, in the spirit, is to miss use our equipment for battle. As Abraham was a friend of God, so those that the Lord confides in regarding mysteries, happenings, and world events, are entrusted with the responsibility to pray. To stand in the gap, as Abraham stood in the gap and prayed, when God revealed the destruction soon to come to Sodom and Gomorrah. Why? Because God wills that no man perish, but that all will come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ! Simple! As every prophet in the Bible bore the burden of the Lord, so his sole duty was to beseech the Father on behalf of the people and warn them of impending judgments, and desired outpourings. Both the which are subject to a response from His people who are called by His name. Do we need prophets today? Do we need dreamers today? Joel the 2nd chapter 28.  “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:” 

This need is not done away with, as long as there are those who are deaf, dumb, and blind in the earth; who cannot see, hear, or comprehend the living God. We are His representatives in the earth. The scripture even saying: As He is so are we in the world! 

Isaiah 42:16 I will lead the blind by a way they did not know; I will guide them on unfamiliar paths. I will turn darkness into light before them and rough places into level ground. These things I will do for them, and I will not forsake them.

Ephesians 1:16-19

… Ceasing not to give thanks for you, I make mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints..”

”I, the LORD, have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations, to open the eyes of the blind, to bring prisoners out of the dungeon and those sitting in darkness out  from the prison house.

When we dream of presidents, dignitaries, disasters, and world events, our first and foremost responsibility is to pray. Write them down, record them, and let the Lord reveal what you’re to do with them from there.
