The River Down Stream

I have an article called the Mountain Of The Lord. It speaks of  the tributaries and streams that flow from the mountain into the river. Everything that is relevant, a pure word, and that which sets the trends of the earth comes from this place. The river that flows into the valley is from the mountain, but it becomes compromised as it courses through the city where sewage and run off begins to add to it. This is the river flowing into the institutions of men where high thoughts that exalt themselves above the knowledge and wisdom of God, begin to contribute into the flow of what should be holy and pristine; but, rather, adds murkiness to the river.  This is the traditions of men making the word of God non effective.  Mark 7:13. BUT, the crisp fresh flow of the Spirit comes from the high place. It begins with forgetting those things that are behind and pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God, in Christ Jesus. It contributes to the life of God, those that pursue him in their seeking, heal the waters in the midst of God’s people from whom  living waters flow.

Out of the secret place, where we go to seek His face, we encounter spiritual weather systems that pour down their precipitation, in what we can spiritually parallel with the  form of mist, snow, and rains, from heaven’s sky. The call of the Spirit is to impart the mysteries of God, sometimes like a mist, a flow of impressions; sometimes like snow pack that releases its measure in season, sometimes like the pouring rain, all at once overflowing the gullies, gushing down the mountain, in some places it is held up like a pent up flood in natural dams … a trickle, ready to become a deluge at any moment.

The Way of The  Mountain

Is lonely at times, and barren of natural comforts, yet, rich with atmosphere as  timbers, silently sway … Singularly, but increasingly corporately, the Mountain of the Lord (in the Spirit) is being pursued by a generation of believers as the sound of His voice, like many waters, is increasingly being heard flowing from out of the heart of His people.  With it the sound of the high mountain winds that  blow through the tall pines, that hollowed airy sigh that joins the roar of white water rapids crashing down through the rocks below. The sound of many waters echo, as they rush through the canyons descending from the place where rivers are made. This only comes after our solemn expedition up the mountain, rising in spirit as when vapor ascends invisible, then descends like the mist, settling above the streams in every ravine.  When the waters descend they roar in progression. This is THE DEEP calling unto DEEP.

This is that full disclosure, the aftermath, of seeking Him in the spirit, not unlike the rushing mighty winds of that  “upper room”  experience in Acts the 2nd Chapter, where abiding in the shadow of the almighty, releases its reward, as words in season flood into us, and we BECOME THE TRIBUTARIES THAT pour into THE RIVER, flowing with many others from that place where rivers are made. Would that we always be the ones who contribute the fresh water, clear as the day is long, as pure as it comes, a Holy flow that heals all other waters.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of our God. Out of your belly shall flow forth rivers of living water, from beneath the throne room of our heart, where Hope and Glory abide, even Christ our Lord … The Kingdom of God is in us. The Rock, the MOUNTAIN, and the River. We are, imperfect vessels of clay, containers of His eternal Spirit, and we shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkle of an eye, and our blessed hope shall be realized, the eternal Spirit of God shall be once and for all contained in immortal flesh and bone. Bone of His bone, and flesh of HIS flesh. The bride come together with the groom. The body of Christ who was, is, and is to come, with heaven our throne and the earth our footstool, as kings and priests sitting with Him in high places, to be glorified with HIM, in the restoration of all things, for we are His Body, and He is the fullness of the God head bodily.  As husbands are head of the wife, Christ is the head of the church, and the two are one flesh.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  NIV

Goes The River I was born in the panhandle of Idaho, and raised in the pan, called the Treasure Valley, below.  Known as the  “Gem State”  it is one of those places on earth with high snow capped  peaks and deep canyons, a place you can say, where rivers are made. The Tetons, the Blues, the Owyhees, the Cascades; the Frank Church River of No Return- Wilderness, where the deluge begins as pristine snow melts into brooks, and streams, and then graduates into white water rapids, where the red fish come to spawn, a cycled journey from mountain to sea, the salmon. (But that is another mountain lesson for another day). You can see to the very bottom of these contributory streams momentarily pooling before thrusting over boulder, after rounded  boulder, jetting above the water line. One particular  fork carries down through the foot hills, and into the city  below (Boise) where the river runs through it.

No wonder prophetically profound happenings occurred there, Angels on a Assignment gathered there in the mid 70’s, as famously recorded in the book by Charles and Frances hunter decades ago. In the years to follow a State that had dipped down to 900,000 from a million, rebounded but not with out first experiencing a revival of its own right, followed with  prophetic visitations that spawned new churches in the city of trees, as Boise grew in leaps and bounds, voted one of the top ten places to live in the era of her resurgence.

Because of these happenings I have always paid attention to the geography of this place where it is said that Gabriel had an assignment. But, the river, immediately, because of where it is going, it is given another name. Now it is called by the name of the city it flows through. How often have we tried to “own” the moves of God by our labeling? HOW much has that restricted revelation that should have advanced us beyond the city, and back toward the mountain from where it all begins? (You see it is never about where it is at. It is always about from where it comes). Yet, the river moves on under another name, now it is the name of the city, and it flows on, some of it redirected into man made canals, and renamed again, the clear river turns into a filmy green and some of it is captured into a man made lake, renamed again; it goes on through the farm lands, the water changes color, run off from all that it has gone through adds to the murky waters, and it is drawn out into ponds, and slues” …This is the place of the general population, very few live on the mountain, hundreds of thousands live up and down the valley. The general population- you can call it the outer court, has somehow taken command of the river. The only way out, is to move against the current back up stream- toward the mountain …

The further you are from the mountain rains, the less clear comes the river.

In Idaho, you find the waters that cut into the land from all that is mountain, pouring into what is eventually the great Snake River. The portion of the great Snake that I know is brown, and wide, as it flows through the valley after winding through the farm lands and orchards of southern Idaho . The exhilaration when you step into mountain streams to cool off, in mid summer, is fantastic, but the freezing fresh water is unbearable for any length of time. While the muddy counter part down stream that has run through city, farm lands, and wilderness canyons, is luke, and the most murky summer’s end, I would not dare swim in it. The sturgeons are legendary in these waters of the Snake  … prehistoric looking fish living in an environment that allows it to grow unchecked in record breaking lengths. Another testimony to how religion can feed the beast. “Wide is the gate, and broad the way.”

Where we would go fishing you could watch the fish nibble at your pole, up above Boise where the river is clear, and most the way through the city, but the Snake … if you were in it you didn’t know what was nibbling at you. Things that cannot live on the mountain, thrive in the valley waters below. I fell into it once. I so disliked that Snake River, not because of its bad reputation, nor was it because of all the run off from all the places it twisted through, but because I have seen from where much of it came, and it was pure as crystal, and this is from where I want to know the river, and this is from where I want to contribute to it with a pure and pristine word that clarifies the kingdom of our God, and clears out the sentiments of the mindsets of men. And so while many chase the river, and splash around in the gathered contribution of others, the voice of the Father is calling,  “Come to this place where rivers are made, and out of you shall flow rivers of living waters.” Endure the upward trek through the canyons of no return, until the waters run clear, and then some, “be ye not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed ...”

Our ‘habitation’ should not be at the banks of the river, living there, swimming in the depositories of upstream encampments.

It is always best to camp up, and not down stream, for we shall only wallow in what the camp above us has let loose into the river. Our source should never be man, our source should be that which flows from the wellspring of living waters. Once one has tasted the pure mountain stream, and has developed a pallet for it, no other source will satisfy, but we must know the taste of the pristine  before we can discern what has been tainted. The Mountain of the Lord shall fill the whole earth, when this happens the river will not be defiled, nor influenced by unholy influences, but IT WILL influence above measure, nothing will pour into it, but IT SHALL be a continuous POURING that overflows its banks AND LIKE A FLOOD will push out those things not of the Spirit. The kingdom of God shall increase but we must decrease in our mindsets that are at enmity with God.

When we learn to go to the source and let it flow out from us, the river shall remain pure.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God. We are for whom its course was sent, and we are from where its current comes, vessels of the Holy Spirit of God! The City and the River … From out of our belly shall flow rivers of living waters!  As we grow into our Head, even Christ, who is the Rock, cut from the Mountain, whose kingdom has no end, we begin to realize the paradigm of who we are.  Where from the tributaries of the mountains where comes rivers, shall flow out from the kingdom of God, filling the whole earth with the knowledge of His glory as the waters cover the sea. In us is the  fountain head, let us be the dweller of the mountain, the Holy Priesthood of God, and remnant nation. Every year during this time of the year since 2009 when God gave me The Mountain of The Lord Prophecy, this word is brought to my remembrance, as the snow pack up in the mountains melt, and the spring rains pour, I am reminded of the season we are in, in the Spirit, not unlike the season we are in, in the natural. I am learning that the Words of the Lord are circular, not linear, if they are from the Spirit, they have multiple application, and perpetual release.

The River whose streams make glad the city of God, is the river that runs through it.

From where comes the river? ” Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water” … a source that shall never run dry. We are vessels of clay, containers made pure by the blood of the lamb, cleansed, and kept washed by the water of His Word.  Know you not? You are the temple of the Holy Ghost? We are entrusted to carry his Spirit in these bodies subject to corruption. But we shall be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye … life shall swallow up death; yet, now he has entrusted us to carry His HOLY Spirit. But we still need changed, corruption must put on in-corruption!  The Life source that is in us is forever; yet, our bodies that contains forever, is only temporary. In order for the temporary to contain the eternal Spirit of God forever, it must put on immortality, while the mind is being renewed daily our physical bodies are subject to decay, we must be changed. When we come to God and recognize His son as Christ the Messiah, we become HIS, and all that is HIS is us, for the Father has given to HIM us ALL, that not one shall be lost, who belongs to Him.

Who do men say that I am … Who do you say that I am? And Peter answered you are the Christ. Mathew 16:17-20

Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Peter understood who Jesus was, and was one of the three that Jesus appointed to go with Him to Mount Hermon, the Mount of Transfiguration, yet, when he saw the Lord transfigured with Moses and Elijah he fails to comprehend that the tabernacle of God is with men, and how His kingdom will manifest in the earth. He wanted to house Elijah,  Moses, and Christ by building tabernacles for them on the mountain.

Not understanding how to walk out the thing that He saw, Peter’s first instinct was to format the vision with in the confines of his own human understanding. Just as we label moves of God now, and crown them as accomplishments of men. Not realizing in doing that we diminish there effect and power,  deteriorating there value, by erecting monuments to some how contain the kingdom of God that is suppose to be in us, we there by quench the spirit and cut off what should be a continual flow; but rather, is drawn aside in the tradition of men and eventually made into a stagnant pond of former rains.

But! Peter, heard these words, “this is my son, hear Him!” The instructions given to them were to HEAR! Not to do, not to take that which he saw and immediately begin to execute a form or method to contain it, or to perpetually re-enact it. But, to be keepers of the vision as revelation, knowledge, and understanding, increasingly expands its pure progression into the fullness of  times, and the  end of the age.

Christ’s transfiguration, took place on what many believe to be Mount Hermon. This particular mountain is known for its snow. The  snow from the high peaks eventually pours precipitation into the low lying Jordan, the very river Christ was baptized in. Regardless, of whether or not this is the Mount of Transfiguration one thing does remain true, prophetically a snow capped peak represents incrementally released revelation, flowing from the summit of higher understanding.

It is this kind of ascension, from baptism to transfiguration  that takes its lonely hike up the mountain of seeking. From this place the outpouring of revelation takes on the nature of fallen snow, crystallized in its purest form, on the mountain we can trek through it, play in it, be refreshed by it, but its descent down the mountain is time capsuled and released to the valley, and plains dweller, in seasons, appointed by God, in due season, in due time it will have its debut.

Precept upon precept, line upon line, it joins the river in the latter days, swelled with spring rain. The snow melt trickles down through the cracks and crannies of the rocks  into under ground aquifers, as the accumulation of all of these, now flows its course … this is the process of unfolding, the nature of revealing, to the end that  the knowledge of His  Glory, surely, will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

After the transfiguration Jesus told Peter, James and John, “See thou tell no one until the son of man is risen from the dead.”

Revelation knowledge and understanding would be released as the snow packs that are stored on the peaks of Mount Hermon, that  feed the Jordan river. What we learn at first is through the contributions of those around us, above us, with us, what we discover our selves come from our assent up the invisible  mountain of the Lord. Like the journey from Jordan (the descender) to Mount Harmon. That the source we flow in is not only contributions that come form others, but sourced from our own assent. To digress down stream would  find ourselves caught in the current of what they call the descender, even the Jordan, that ends at the  Dead Sea. Our journey from baptism to transfiguration is an upward call. Forgetting those things that are behind us but pressing on to the upward call of God … not returning to the basic principle of our salvation over, and over, again.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you, also, will appear with him in glory. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us, and while yet, imperfect He lives in us. Our blessed hope is that we shall not perish but live forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 … that our dead in Christ shall first rise, and we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with the Lord, “in the air” and so shall we forever be with the Lord. Living cells of the body illuminating HIS GLORY, just as He radiated beauty on the Mount of Transfiguration in Mathew 17, as an analogical preview of who He is,  and what we will be was coded into the heart and mind of Petra, whom He spoke to earlier In Mathew 16 and said, “Who do YOU say that I am? And Petra answered and said, you are the Christ, and to this the Lord said, “thou art Peter, and upon this Rock I will build my church, that was the revelation of who he was, and what Peter knew Him to be.

Romans 8:19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.   1 Corinthians 13:12 … now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.  . 2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Micah 4

New International Version (NIV)

The Mountain of the Lord

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and    say,“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways,so that we may walk in his paths.”The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
