Message: Hi .
I had a dream or night vision of my daughters bedroom window that
Open and a tear in the screen and the air blowing. That’s all I remember.
What’s interesting is all the windows in our home are closed because where we live is so hot & dusty so we run the a/c. Everything looked the same in the dream as it is in real life curtains , window size , the only thing that was different is the tear in the screen.
Also earlier that night I woke up twice from hearing 2 cats fighting right by my daughters bedroom, she’s five so I slept on her bed with her when I had this dream. If you could help me understand the tear in the screen that’s a mystery to me. Thank you. T—

Dear —-, this is a dream coaching segment and not an out right interpretation. What you described is more in the category of a night vision, which is a dream that makes you believe you are awake, when in fact you are sleeping. The following includes some excerpts from NWP dream journal articles.

Screens On Windows Act As Filters. A Word On Windows (NWP)

Windows and window screens are there to protect people from too much exposure from the outside world, filtering out unwanted insects and animals, while allowing air flow in the room. You can see and hear through the screen, but you cannot touch or handle what is being filtered out. Our windows, the screen and its frame work, are that which we view the world through, safely. The frame work of the word of God, and the window glass of the prophetic serves, in the same way, with in the house of the Father. That is why in every realm of operation, spiritual discernment, prayer vigilance, and the study of the word of God, is paramount for a well maintained estate, in this world.

A broken or torn screen symbolically indicates that what is unwanted out doors is able to get inside physically, morally, spiritually, or intellectually. A damaged screen is torn by animals, thieves, or robbers.This is a demonic attack. If the dreamer is trying to get into his own house he has the right of entry but going about it the wrong way. A forced entry when we’ve lost our keys, means we have to break things to get in. This is not the ideal way to enter into what is ours, or to obtain what we know is ours. Dreams such as this usually warns of damage we will need to repair later, because of our own impatience, negligence, or lack of waiting on God, for the keys HE has in HIS possession that unlocks our destiny in HIS time. Dear dreamer in your case your windows are closed (in the natural) to regulate the house temp with an AC and to keep the dust out. The Lord may be warning you that your best intentions to keep a handle on the atmospheric conditions of your home has a challenge. Such as a breach in the wall, that appears to be specific regarding your child, because this is happening in her room. The fact that it is a rip in her window screen reveals more detail.

The good God that He is, helps us be better than what is humanly possible, with our children, because He loves them so. When we partner with God, our best becomes better. For the Spirit of God leads us and guides us in all truth when we put our trust in Him.

If I had a dream like this, I myself, would never underestimate a dream’s ability to have a natural and real application for safety concerns. God can warn us of a tear in our screen to keep the insects out, or identify that one has entered the home. More than likely though, there is (rather) a symbolic application because you said you keep your windows closed. In summing it up: Some kind of frame work for safety you rely upon for your child, has an opening in it.

The symbolic application is that no matter how hard we try, as parents, sometimes a breach will occur in filters that we want in place for our children. Dreams serve to REVEAL what is hidden to us.

So the Holy Spirit is using the dream to reveal a situation you are not aware of. It could be a nanny not being careful of her phone conversations in front of your child, the words of a relative or even a teacher. Unruly people and their cat fights. Or the home computer’s kid-settings need to be re-set for your child. It could be a television program for pre-schoolers, or a book, that may not be up to par with your values. It could be as simple as two cats prowling and growling outside your child’s window, that is planting a fear seed in her soul. A spiritual opportunist finding opportunity. We may never discover what the dream was exposing specifically-

But, we can rest assured asking the Father for wisdom is the beginning of a good outcome and resolve. This night vision is showing you that the room seems secure, but her safety filters in seeing and hearing is not. For screens in the window allow for seeing and hearing, the breach allows for more than what was intended to come through. A wall is to keep out an army. A screen is to keep out more subtle intruders. Because we can see and hear through a screen on a window, and even feel the airflow coming through the screen, the intruder falls into the catagory of seeing and hearing the wrong things, that have a spiritual impact. If the five year old is sleeping in this scenario, you are being awakened to subliminal exposures your child may not be conscious of.

WHAT TO DO

As I stated before start by simply checking your windows, but be aware of other filters (spiritual and social protections) that should be in place. Pray and then prayerfully investigate. Ask God to show you where the “torn screen” or “breach in your filters” are. I have many testimonies of the Father outing the foxes BEFORE they find the holes in the fence. So be encouraged! God can show you where to reinforce the fence, or give you peace knowing the child is covered in prayer.

A Dream interpretation should be subjected to the counsel of prophets where further instruction and ministry can be pursued. In that setting dreams, visions, prophecy, and the gift of interpretation, can be properly examined.
