Deana shows the listener how far we have strayed from the true pattern of the church in reliance and accountability toward one another.  Many have followed in the footsteps of our culture, leading them into isolation in the midst of a crowd. Working in cubicles in a packed office, living in subdivisions or gated communities, but still not knowing our co-workers or neighbors; riding subways and elevators with the same people every day, yet we are strangers. Worst of all, going to church and sitting amidst a congregation in utter isolation. While pastors lost in a sea of human misery, burn out while they them-selves suffer apart from God’s pattern for the church, there is a model to return to, if only we would.
