1 Timothy 1:18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before you, that you by them might war a good warfare.
The words spoken by the Spirit of God, over our lives, are weapons of war to fight the good fight of faith. They put in check the devil’s lies, and activate creation to align with the purposes of God. Remember prophetic words that speak into your destiny and declare them! That’s how we handle the Word of Life! Does a warrior lay his sword and armor down on a shelf, in days of battle? The answer is no. Therefore do not, and I repeat do not take prophecy (spoken over you) and put it on the shelf. As it has been taught in charismatic circles. Scripture says judge it. Out of the mouth of two or more witnesses let every word be established. Take it and wait on the Lord until He confirms it, or denies it. Let the other prophets (elders) stand and judge. Remember, a good tree bears forth good fruit, so consider the source. Knowing your prophet and being in relationship with prophetic people creates an atmosphere of proper prophetic processes. Why? Because where ever the Body Of Christ is functioning like it is suppose to, the full counsel of God is present. This is why these giftings often operate in companies of like minded anointings. For iron sharpens iron. Among such company words of prophecy will most certainly be clarified and quickly approved and activated. In the multitude of counsel our way is established. This is Kingdom. For He has set in the CHURCH apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Ephesians ch 4. If they are not present among us than we are an incomplete body. We are just an assembly of stragglers, even if that assembly has assembled for years. The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy, and to mishandle this gifting among the church of God is to mishandle the Word Of Life, for God breathed revelation testifies to the Son. It is time to throw out false teaching regarding the gifts of the spirit, especially when it comes to prophecy. We need them in our arsenal. The bible says, “Quench not the Holy Spirit. Despise not prophecy, prove all things, hold fast to that which is good.” 1 Thes 5:19-21 so there you go! Be the body do it right! Remember God breathed utterances and by them fight this noble war!
